DAY OF THE ACCIDENT
FRIDAY AUGUST 19, 2005
BEFORE
" Not in my wildest dreams did I understand what was going to happen..."
I was not scheduled to work in the morning. A fellow co-worker had asked me to swap shifts and I agreed. Early in the morning at 5 a.m., I prayed a prayer that I had heard while growing up. Not in my wildest dreams did I understand what was going to happen.
"I remember not the specifics of the injury,
but things about being in a dark place,
looking through a porthole and hearing screams."
My recollection at that time was that I was in darkness, absent from any light. I then became aware of a portal opening 10 inches in diameter that had the appearance of frosted glass.
***********
One evening I was out in public walking and came upon a gentleman wearing a tie-die shirt. I made a comment to him, "I like that shirt, it reminds me of the reason people don't let me do their laundry."
God Bless you and never give up!
